Communications Manager: Shatha Abu Aballi

Shatha Abu Alli became the communications manager for the American Center of Research on January 1, 2024. She is responsible for supporting the communications needs of the organization’s various projects, as well as for overseeing and managing its social media platforms, ensuring consistent and engaging content to promote ACOR’s activities and projects. Shatha received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Hashemite University. Her undergraduate work was in archaeological and conservation sciences, and her graduate studies, in which she conducted a damage assessment of Umm al Jimal, focused on sustainable tourism. In early 2016, Shatha received a SCHEP scholarship to attend the prestigious 13th International Conference on the History and Archaeology of Jordan (ICHAJ 13). She began working with SCHEP later the same year, taking responsibility for SCHEP’s Arabic-language content, as well as a variety of other creative projects. She later served as the project communications manager, which positioned her to assume that role for the entire organization.
